Minimalist Closet and KonMari Folding Technique

Minimalist Closet and KonMari Folding Technique

One day, I was making my suitcase and I was trying to fit way too much stuff in it. I researched minimalist packing techniques and found the KonMari folding technique. I decided to apply this at home and go rid of my entire bureau. All the clothes left from it fit in two small baskets. In this post, I show you how I fold and fit all my clothes.

The KonMari method originates from Japan. Marie Kondo is a Japanese organizing consultant and author. She created this folding method and it revolutionized my world. It’s now a second nature for me to fold my clothes this way.

First of all, I downsized all the clothes I had in these drawers. I have some clothes in my closet and now I have these little baskets hanging there as well. I use the minimalist method to create a capsule closet. Over time, I get rid of more and clothes. My goal is to have a summer capsule closet and a winter one. I live in Québec, Canada, which has two very distinct weather: super cold and super warm, and anything inbetween.
