One day, I was making my suitcase and I was trying to fit way too much stuff in it. I researched minimalist packing techniques and found the KonMari folding technique. I decided to apply this at home and go rid of my entire bureau. All the clothes left from it fit in two small baskets. In this post, I show you how I fold and fit all my clothes.
The KonMari method originates from Japan. Marie Kondo is a Japanese organizing consultant and author. She created this folding method and it revolutionized my world. It’s now a second nature for me to fold my clothes this way.
First of all, I downsized all the clothes I had in these drawers. I have some clothes in my closet and now I have these little baskets hanging there as well. I use the minimalist method to create a capsule closet. Over time, I get rid of more and clothes. My goal is to have a summer capsule closet and a winter one. I live in Québec, Canada, which has two very distinct weather: super cold and super warm, and anything inbetween.
Here are the steps to folding a t-shirt. I show more in my videos and see this link below for additional step-by-step. I adapted the KonMari technique a little bit, therefore you may see differences.
Lay the t-shirt face-down.
Fold the first side, align the shoulder with the collar, and fold back the sleeve.
Repeat the same steps for the other side.
Starting from the collar, fold the t-shirt ⅓ of the way.
Fold again half-way.
Finally, completely fold the t-shirt.

Who Am I? I'm many things. I'm passionate about tons of stuff. I love travel. I love self-improvement. I'm a sucker for optimization, efficiency, and minimalism. I renewed with mathematics and science, those are so amazing. Astronomy and chemistry are just plain awesome! I'm a student, a mentor, a traveler, a learner, an artist, an animator, and Disney brings me tears of joy! I love to grow and I will never stop! So who am I? All that and everything else I have not discovered about myself yet. It's a never ending answer!
